Clock ticking on IPL debate, writes Mike Hussey
After a robust, and at times volatile, meeting on Tuesday between current and former Australian players, Australian Cricketers’ Association chief executive Paul Marsh asked the IPL for a few days to assess more incoming reports on the security measures being taken to offset terrorist threats on the subcontinent.
He was waiting to hear from information gathered by other player associations - particularly those in England, South Africa and New Zealand - to see if everyone was on the same page.
Most players are keen to go and I am, too. It was important to get the assurance from the Indian Government on extra security measures, which they have given.
