in the press statement prof sarchand said that contribution of the Tur family to the sikh politics and Instituions is incomparable , he said veer singh lopoke should study the sikh history to know the greatest contribution made by the S,Jagat singh Tur father of jathedar Mohan singh Tur, who had led the first group of Sikhs in the jaito agitation morcha against the british government ,
During the emergency in 1975 S Mohan singh Tur , president of Akali Dal, had led the first group of Sikhs during the agitation against the emergency and was arrested , he encouraged the people to to take part in the agitations against the atrocities of Mrs Indra Gandhi,
Veer singh lopoke shoud learn to do the sacrifice or the sikh panth and he should give up the narrow thinking and should work for the betterment of the Akai party and workers and people of his constituency,
